TIMES PAST & PRESENT

Because our place in Wexford is much smaller than our home tidying up only takes 5 minutes and meals consist of light summer foods that don't take long to dish up but my most favourite thing about summering here is that I feel absolutely no guilt whatsoever about opening a bottle of wine on a Monday night. Or a Tuesday, come to think of it. And I love sharing it with my Mum when she stays over or friends who stop by to visit us or even some of the great neighbours we have around us.

Another thing I love is all the spare time I have seem to have. Today I painted a Zebra, finished off my commissioned Clown and played around with these photos of Sarah that I shot a while back.

I just love the names she decided to give them & since seeing them Audrey is all "I'M NEXT, I'M NEXT".

THE LAST STORY

FINDING LIFE

STRAWBERRY LIPS

PROUD I AM ME

PASS ME THE APPLE

WHEN I WAS THE LAST LEAF ON THE TREE

Rod is driving down after work today. He joins us on Wednesdays and the weekends and I usually have a long list of thing for him to bring down to us or do around this place. Like fixing the light bulb socket that exploded in the kitchen and shattered shards of glass over me and the kids last night.

I don't do electricity ever since that time when I was small and I straightened out a hanger, held a light bulb up to one end and stuck the other end into the wall socket to see if I could light up the bulb.

I still remember the shock of the bolt of electricity exiting out through my tongue like it was yesterday.

What can I say? I had an enquiring mind.

'Had' being the operative word.

LOL! When I was a kid, I stuck a corned beef can "key" in an electric outlet. I too had an enquiring mind.

The closest I ever got to really shocking myself was after we first moved to Meath and discovered electric fences all over the place.

That first summer was torture for my little brother...

Enquiring mind? You're lucky you didn't fizz your brain. Maybe thats why you're so creative?
