I got up at 7.30am to see my sister off. The fact that I only saw her for one day was disappointing but we made the most of the time we did get to spend together. Not having seen her for two and a half years has been hard but not as hard as the nice big bruise she's left me with on my forehead so that I won't forget her; where she accidentally attacked me with the head of base guitar while we were listening to Audreys attempt at sean nos singing

After I waved goodbye I threw myself into the laundry and supermarket shopping. I have two lots of Beef Bourguignon cooking on the stove. Thanks Sandra for the recipe.

I sorted through the holiday photos and you can check them out here. We visited Coulier where Matisse painted and the Dali Museum. We swam, went to the local theatre and ate and drank our way through all things French.

When I produced French stick bread with Camembert cheese and orange juice for breakfast in the garden this morning the kids all sighed and disappeared en mass in a futile search for coco-pops.

Sorry girls, I'm still in holiday mode.

I know what you mean. When we were in England I saw my brother for two precious days [over from Beijing] It was the first time I'd seen him in nearly 7 years.
Best wishes and hope you don't have to wait a long time to see her again.

Ellen the photos look great! Glad to hear you enjoyed it. The family look so happy and relaxed. I love the fruity car!
You must have been sad to see your sister go, Australia is such a long way off. At least you have the bruise for a while.....
