I am in the car driving home from the shops. The kids are in the back seats and the radio is on. The Angelus is playing because it's 12 noon and everyone knows that that's what happens at 12 noon. Bong, Bong, Bong go the bells and I am supposed to pull the car over onto the side of the road and get down on my knees and pray three decades of the rosary with the kids or we will be damned forever in the fires of hell.
Since there is only a ditch on the road I am driving on and I don't remember how the rosary begins I drive on and hedge my bets that God will understand completely and would probably do exactly the same thing if he was in my situation.
"Mum" pipes up Audrey from the back seat " What is that ad for on the radio with the bells. I just don't get it?"
