RIDE OF MY LIFE. CHAPTER 2

This dressing table in my bedroom is the only spot in the house that I can call all mine. It has a lock and key and because it's constructed with mirrors I can tell from the size of the fingerprints on it who's been messing with my STUFF. DO YA HEAR ME KIDS?

I keep my EXTREMELY important things in it like this

this

and these.

Notice how they're all the same colour? That's because I'm a creature of habit and may well be the reason why I'm still married to my husband. Just joking Honey! Honestly!

Here's a photo I keep on the top of my dressing table of the two of us when we were 16 & 17. That was the age we first met.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about how I first met him HERE. And this is what happened next.

SOAP OPERA SUNDAY

A couple of days later my mother sent me to the shop across the road from our house to buy some bread. When I stepped outside of the shop I put the bread under my arm and stood on the edge of the path, waiting for the traffic to ease up a little so I could cross the road again. I had only been there a couple of seconds when all of a sudden a passing motorbike pulled over and stopped right in front of me.

It took me a second to register who it was because of the helmet. But only a second. It was him. Again.

"Can I give you a ride home?" he asked raising his visor and smiling at me
"Eh, no thanks, I only live over there." I blurted, pointing at my house.

And before I knew what had happened he'd flicked down his visor, revved up his engine and joined up the with other traffic on the road.

'Oh my God', I thought as I stepped off the pavement to cross the road. 'I don't even know the guy and I've already told him where I live. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

My heart was beating hard in my chest as I sailed across the road and into the house with the bread. I put it on the counter and couldn't believe it when I looked at it. There was only half the bread there. I retraced my steps out of the house and had to laugh when I saw the trail of bread I'd left behind me all the way across to the other side of the road.

I was happy but wondered if I'd ever see him again.

Little did I know that my question would be answered sooner than I thought.

I am just loving this story. Soap Opera Sunday rules! Especially on Saturday.

You haven't changed a jot.

I too, am devoted to Freebird - but not to the extent that I keep the single by my bed, you have me there.

What a cute story...and I thought I was the only one who had 17 bottles of what is essentially the same color nail polish!
